But Scientology also does plenty of beneficial things. And no, I’m not the next poster-boy for that bunch. I quit the group nearly three decades ago. What Scientology does do is assist improve awareness, specifically spiritual awareness. To me, that benefit helped me in education, immensely. For an artist friend, it helped him generate paintings in hours for what would have taken weeks. Prior to Scientology, conceptually I had usually thought of myself as a spiritual being in a temporary body. With Scientology counseling, that reality became vividly clear. Exterior with full understanding. Performing miracles on the magnitude of those performed by Moses. And most interestingly, I discovered I understood Christianity far a lot more totally than I ever had.
